Often time, you may see some rats running around in the backyard. In the worst case scenarios, the rats may get into the house to the attic.
To deal with rats in an organic way, we recommend the followings.

Secondly, you can setup the trap cage in the garage, the backyard, or even attic.
You don’t need poisonous bait.
Just use a piece of bagel, bread or some rice as a bait.
To avoid ants, you may put the bait in a small container like this:

Once you captured a mouse/rat, you may expose the cage in sunlight for several hours before the mouse/rat burnt and died.
Then you can throw the dead mouse/rat in a green waste container.
You may also throw the dead mouse/rat to nearby park to let other animal to feed on it.
This capture cage can be reused and will last long time.
This is an organic way to kills the rats/mouse. Once you get the mouse/rat under control in the house. You may place the cage in the backyard to continue capturing mouse/rat and keep them away from entering the house. This job is endless effort. You need to continue this effort.
